- Floss, after brushing (hard at first, but becomes incredibly easy after a while)
- Brush more frequently: make sure to brush your teeth before going to bed: that way nasty bacteria don't get a chance of developing
- Stop drinking (diet) coke or coffee at huge amounts: this is what did it for me. After a week of having stopped drinking diet coke, my girlfriend told me my teeth were looking whiter (without me asking for it). Feels good man!
- Stop smoking: although I don't smoke, smoking makes teeth discolour yellowish.
White teeth is an indicator of good health, just look at this before and after picture:
Now go and get whiter teeth (you have to do practically nothing for it), it'll change your life just a tiny bit, and turn you more awesome!

hmmm, don't think I could go without my daily dose of diet coke.. Looks like it's white-strips for me.
